The door features two narrow racks that are perfect for juice and butter containers. The refrigerator utilizes thermoelectric exchange technology instead of compressor cooling. This makes it quieter than usual refrigerators, with only an occasional hum while it is in operation.

The Swan is surprisingly quiet, despite it being a compressor model that is traditional. We tested it at a modest 42dB while it was running. It's considerably quieter than models from 10 years ago, and much quieter than most of the refrigerator freezers we've tested in our Best Buy chart.
This fridge also had good temperature stability. The top shelves, middle and bottom all had an average temperature within two degrees either side of the maximum temperature. The salad drawer was a little more erratic, fluctuating between 5oC and just below freezing.
As with the SR11010, the fridge requires a few times of manual defrost but is classified as A+ for energy efficiency. This makes it one of the most efficient refrigerator freezers in our Best Buy chart, keeping your electric bills to a minimum.
